| UMTS 900 – Successfully Delivering 3G in Low-Frequency Bands |
UMTS 900 2008: The year of volume shipments?
Europe’s CEPT has given an EC-wide clearance for the roll-out of UMTS 900 in its 47 member states. The UK’s Ofcom wants to allow the so-called "refarming" of 900 MHz spectrum brings it in line with the European Commission, which in July threw its weight behind the idea by announcing it would repeal the GSM Directive of 1987, the agreement that reserves 900 MHz spectrum for 2G. Ofcom’s consultation closed in November, what will the decision be? Do you need to know:- Will GSM 900Mhz operators lose out?
- Which operators are leading the race in UMTS 900?
- What can your country learn from current spectrum reallocation in Finland?
- Which services will be best suited to UMTS 900 operations?
- Will the reallocation of the spectrum have a positive economic effect as the CEPT suggest?
If you need to know the answers to these questions, read this report to stay fully informed and ahead of the competition.
